II. TECHNICAL RUBRIC & PERFORMANCE MARKERS

The 1–4 Proficiency Scale

  • Level 1 (White): Can perform skills via "Copy and Drill" with regular feedback.

  • Level 2 (Blue): Performs skillsets very well at speed and while fatigued.

  • Level 3 (Brown): Performs well under pressure and fatigue; optimal attribute development.

  • Level 4 (Black): Performs all skillsets well under competition conditions.

The 8 Core Skill Areas

  1. Fundamental Movements: Break-falls, footwork, and balance.

  2. Striking: Self-defense, Boxing and Kick-boxing skills.

  3. Stand-up / Clinch: Hand fighting, 2 on1 ties, and Wall Work.

  4. Takedowns & Transitions: Seamless movement from standing to ground.

  5. Defensive Guard Skills: Active framing and guard retention.

  6. Passing & Top Control: Heavy pressure and systematic passing.

  7. Submission Finishing: Technical precision high finish rate

  8. Escapes & Reversals: Explosive technical recovery from inferior positions.

Eastern Bloc Performance Markers (Advanced/Expert)

  • Frequency of Attack: Continuous engagement to drive scoring.

  • Reliability of Counters: High-success defensive-to-offensive transitions.

  • Combination Attack %: Goal > 50% (Systematic pressure).

  • Scoring Attacks: Goal > 40% (Finishing efficiency).

  • Defense Reliability: Goal 100% (Total containment).
